we are running the AP Calendar on a big international BMX website (fatbmx.com). And we also want anonymous visitors to be able to submit their BMX events to our calendar.

But lately some spambots found our submission form and are now submitting large amounts of spam events.

Is there a simple method of implementing a captcha field in the event submission form to prevent spambots from submitting?

Thank you for your help / assistance !

Hello,

It is a good idea, we will put it in the next version.

If you want to do it now, Xoops offers a good utility for that. You can try to use it.

Can you please give me some guideline on how to implement that solution.

I don't know where to place the code...

Thanks,
Jos

The new version of APCal (2.1.2) is now available.

We've solved some issues.
- The picture insertion
- The datepicker in the form
- The contact from site user interferring with the map.

We will add some new features like the captcha for anonymous submission as soon as possible.

Please try it and give us some feedbacks.

Kind regards,
